The Center for Youth Innovative Creativity (TsMIT) "Workshop of Ideas" was opened on the basis of the Leninogorsk Oil Technical College on December 16, 2016. This was a joint project of PJSC TATNEFT and the "Idea-Yugo-Vostok" Technopark.
TsMIT is a production site that is designed for children of school age, students and young professionals who have engineering way of thinking, but who do not have the ability to reconstruct the conceived ideas into a ready-made and operating model or a prototype. Now, it is possible to conduct classes for school age children on the basis of TsMIT in addition to training on the equipment, where experienced professionals are ready to share their knowledge and experience.
The main objective of the project is to ensure the access of children and young people to modern equipment of direct digital production for the implementation of their innovative ideas. The basis for the work of TsMIT in Russia is the experience of the FabLab digital production centers that are widespread in Europe and America, where anyone, who feels like it, can create almost any material object of their own design.
The Center has facilities for the production of advertising and printing products (catalogs, presentations, booklets). Along with printing products, it is possible to manufacture souvenirs made of wood, plywood, glass, plexiglass and plastic. For example, these products may include such products as bracelet charms, dust-covers, casket boxes. In addition, the employees’ competencies allow developing 3D models from sketches, drawings and photographs and printing the said models on a 3D printer. These products are extensively used when it is necessary to manufacture prototypes and souvenirs with various symbols, including the notation of PJSC TATNEFT.
