TATNEFT Participated in the Traditional Oil Summit

The annual traditional summit of the republican oil companies with the participation of Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan was held on July 12.

The events were held at the premises of the “Yunost” (Youth) summer health improvement camp of TATNEFT Company with participation of Pavel Sorokin, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Svetlana Radionova, Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Management (Rosprirodnadzor), Igor Shpurov, Director of the FBU State Commission on Mineral Resources (Federal Government Institution), as well as senior officials of ministries and departments of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, territorial directorates of federal departments, heads of cities and districts the region of the Republic of Tatarstan, managers and chief executive officer of oil, service, petrochemical and oil refining companies of the Republic.

In 2019, the Oil Summit acquired the international status and it was held at the same venue with the First International Oil and Gas Youth Forum attended by leading international analysts and experts. 

The participants of the events got acquainted with the exhibition of advanced oil technologies, where PJSC TATNEFT, OOO NCHTZ, OOO RITEK, PJSC Kvart, CJSC Neftekh, OOO ELKAM, OOO Heiter, OOO TNG-Group, TAPART, Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University presented their engineering developments.

As part of the poster presentations, TATNEFT demonstrated the results of introducing digital technologies in key areas of the Company's activities. The topics presented, inter alia, included “Rational subsoil use in mature fields. Transition to the development of hard-to-recover and unconventional hydrocarbon reserves”; "Digital refinery deep processing"; "Oil/ gas and petrochemical complex of PJSC TATNEFT"; "Innovations in drilling: a new design of the integral joint casing version using an automated welding system."

TANECO presented at the exhibition a wide range of competitive petroleum products and lubricants with high environmental and operational characteristics. The visitors familiarized themselves with well-known samples of aviation and diesel fuel, as well as new products: AI-92, AI-95, AI-98, AI-100 motor gasolines. QR codes on the TANECO’s DeLuxe Special Diesel Synth SAE 10W-40 and TANECO DeLuxe Eco Special Synth SAE 5W-30 oil flasks provided the information about the premium products designed for lubricating high-performance gasoline and diesel engines. 

KAMA TYRES, which is the tyre manufacturing business of TATNEFT Group, demonstrated one of the most advanced products on the Russian tyre market: solid metal cord tyres KAMA PRO NF-203 and NR-203 with adjustable pressure, as well as the summer tyre Viatti Bosco H/T designed for crossovers and SUVs, operated on highways and the off-road environment. 

The plenary session of the Oil Summit was devoted to discussing topical issues of the fuel and energy complex development, global challenges and trends and was held in the format of the panel discussion. Taliya Minullina, Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan was acting as the moderator of the session. 

Welcoming the event participants, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that this year’s Summit was held as an international event with the participation of well-known foreign experts, including Zoltan Aldott, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the MOL Group and SLOVNAFT, and Mohamed Shakur, Director of Global Business UOP LLC. 

In his address to the forum participants, Pavel Sorokin separately welcomed the veterans who stood at the origins of the industry, as well as young people, who will look after the future of the oil industry.

Addressing the participants of the Summit, Nail Maganov pointed out that it was not a coincidence that the International Oil and Gas Youth Forum and the Summit were held at the same platform. Is was necessary to involve initiative, extraordinary thinking youth to discuss topical issues of the fuel and energy complex. This year, the youth forum was attended by young representatives of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

The current topics of the Petroleum Summit included rational subsoil use, development of fields with hard-to-recover reserves, digital technologies in crude oil production and refining, as well as alternative energy sources.

As the General Director of TATNEFT pointed out, the organized exhibition, panel discussion, master classes, educational programs, hackathon would be a good opportunity to share advanced scientific and technical achievements of the oil industry, experience in solving real business problems, a productive environment for obtaining new knowledge, augmenting competencies, building effective communications. And for young people, this is a great opportunity to prove yourself and to test your potential. The best will receive cash prizes and will be enlisted to the personnel reserve of the leading oil companies in the country.

At the end of the plenary session, the hackathon was launched as part of the International Oil and Gas Youth Forum, where its participants in the formed teams solved real business problems and participated in headliner master classes on the key forum topics.
