TATNEFT Extends Invitations to the International Oil and Gas Youth Forum

The bidding campaign of the International Oil and Gas Youth Forum, which will be held from July 9 to 15, 2019 in the Youth Education Camp of Almetyevsk (Republic of Tatarstan) has been launched.

The forum can be attended by young professionals, scientists, teachers, post-graduate students, masters and students of leading oil and gas universities of the Russian fuel and energy complex (oil and gas and IT) and those from neighboring countries aged 18 to 35 years, as well as the industry experts.

The forum organizers are the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, TATNEFT Company and the Youth Council of the Oil and Gas Industry under the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation

The intensive training educational program designated at the forum in five sectoral areas will include master classes arranged by leading experts in the oil and gas sector, blitz hackathons, business games, design and solution of real cases from leading oil and gas companies in the fuel and energy sector of Russia. Special attention will be paid to the development of soft-skills competencies (leadership and team building, meaningful communication, results orientation, Agile principles, Scrum methodology, project management, Data Science).

There are five main areas, which present key topics of the International Youth Oil and Gas Forum. They are as follows: rational subsoil use in mature fields; hard-to-recover reserves and unconventional sources of hydrocarbons; digital transformation of the oil and gas industry; deep-processing digital refinery; alternative energy.

The young participants will gain significant teamworking experience in the hackathon environment to solve real business problems. The forum will provide for selecting the best high-potential participants for admission to the leading oil and gas companies of Russia and CIS countries; to master and postgraduate courses of the leading oil and gas universities of the fuel and energy complex of Russia.

Participating companies will be able to familiarize themselves with the new technology of solving the hackathon format business challenges in the agile teams; form a solution bank; will have the opportunity to train and develop their own young professionals, teachers and students.
