TATNEFT and LUKOIL were recognized as the best socially-oriented companies in the oil and gas industry in Russia and awarded special prizes of the Russian Federation Ministry of Energy contest.
The contest for the best socially-oriented oil and gas company was arranged by the Ministry of Energy of Russia for the first time and its purpose was to stimulate the socially-oriented policy of organizations, identify, study and disseminate the experience of the most active, socially-oriented enterprises achieving high efficiency in solving social problems.
TATNEFT and LUKOIL were named the first winners of this contest.
The composition of the contest commission included representatives of the Council of Veterans and the Youth Council of the Oil and Gas Branch under the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, representatives of the Ministry of Energy of Russia.
In addition, TATNEFT was announced the Ministry of Energy contest winner in the nomination "For the effective development of socially responsible business".
Awarding ceremony took place in St. Petersburg during the conference "Human Capital: Investments in a Sustainable Economy of Russia" devoted to personnel development issues, which took place in the framework of the 7th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum. The events were attended by Vladimir Smirnov, Director of the Department of Public Service and Mobilization Training of the Russian Federation Ministry of Energy.
Vladimir Smirnov pointed out in a message of welcome to the finalists of the contest that the Ministry of Energy considers it important to solve social problems, improve the quality of working and living conditions for workers, as well as the social policy pursued by the Fuel and Energy Complex (TEC) organizations.
Successfully solving the tasks of doubling the market value of the Company, TATNEFT follows international standards of social responsibility and implements social programs in the region of its activities both for the staff and the community, as a whole.
